If you’re thinking of going for a high-end sedan this year, you’ve got plenty of great options to choose from. Of course, not all luxury vehicles are created equal, and they certainly span a range of prices. You’ll want to do plenty of research to make sure you’re on track to get behind the wheel of the model that best fits your needs and budget.
Today we’ll show you a comparison between the Lincoln MKZ vs Cadillac CTS. Two of the most well-recognized names in luxury cars, to be sure, but which one offers the advantages that matter most to you? We’ll go over some of the ways in which these two models are alike, and some of the major ways they differ.
Lincoln MKZ | VS | Cadillac CTS |
$35,190 | Base Price | $45,345 |
Yes – 41 city/39 hwy | Hybrid Option | No |
18” painted aluminum | Standard Wheels | 17” painted aluminum |
15.4 cu. ft. | Max Luggage | 13.7 cu. ft. |
We’ll start with the similarities – Both models have all the top amenities you’d expect from a top brand: dual zone automatic climate control, power leatherette seats with lumbar support, satellite radio, LCD screens, navigation, the works.
Now let’s talk about the differences. First of all, the base price is wildly different from one model to another with only a slight power advantage for the CTS (272 horsepower to the MKZ’s 240 on the 4-cylinder model). With all of the comparable comfort and convenience features, it’s worth considering how much you’ll save with the Lincoln model. It’s also got a hybrid engine option that lets you save on fuel in a big way over the long term, so if you’ve got a daily commute to consider this is another big leg up for the MKZ.
