Luxury crossover SUVs are a growing market for good reason. They offer all the comfort and space for passengers of something like a van, but it comes in a sporty-looking body. This comes with the added bonus of being both fuel efficient for their size, and often being able to offer a decent amount of power.
The 2015 Lincoln MKC vs Lexus NX 200t pits these two popular, high-end models against each other to determine which is a better buy. The two of them are available at a pretty comparable price, with the MKC taking a slight edge, and they can carry five passengers in comfortable leatherette seats. The two also offer some very tempting entertainment options like standard steering wheel controls, voice recognition, amplifiers and navigation systems. The Lincoln MKC and Lexus NX 200t are also rocking a booming set of 10 and 8 speakers, respectively, as well as many other features.
There’s no denying that both of these crossovers offer an incredible amount of tech features that will cause some envy with the neighbors, but the comfort and overall usefulness of one of them is really on the next level.
The MKC offers a significantly larger space (26 cu.ft. more!) for passengers to sit in comfort. It’s the same story in luggage volume, where the MKC offers 25.2 cu.ft. over the NX 200t’s 17.7 cu.ft. The two have very comparable dimensions, with the MKC actually being slightly smaller, so were not sure why the Lexus crossover has less passenger space than a 2-door coupe. The MKC is also able to tow a max trailer weight of 3,000 lbs., which is a pretty impressive number for a vehicle of its class. The NX 200t, on the other hand, isn’t rated to pull anything behind it.
Frankly, you’re getting more out of the 2015 Lincoln MKC, and for a lower price. The utility and versatility it offers is unmatched by the Lexus NX 200t. If you’d like to test drive the MKC, head over to Lidtke Motors today!
